PALLIATIVE CARE PHARMACISTS NETWORK (PCPN)

Welcome to the website of this new organisation for palliative care pharmacists. Most of the pages and the forum on this site are open to any pharmacist or palliative care professional. Membership of the Network is open to pharmacists working in palliative care, which for many may only be part of their role. Pharmacists from the community, hospital and Primary Care Trust sectors are all equally welcomed.

The aims of the Network are;

  • To provide a simple means of communication
  • To share information on palliative care issues of particular importance to pharmacists
  • To enable this group of specialists to engage in National Issues, such as responding to consultation documents.
  • To provide an annual Network Day – currently a study day including lectures and individual presentations
  • To create a ‘virtual library’ of resources specifically useful to pharmacists e.g. job descriptions, medicines policies, lecture material
  • In time, to create educational resources for pharmacists embarking upon palliative care for the first time
To join the PCPN, please print off the membership form
Membership costs £10 per year and will enable you to access shared documents on the members only section of the website. (currently under construction)

For further information or to offer suggestions or support for the Network, please contact Margaret Gibbs, either through the forum mail service or at m.gibbs@stchristophers.org.uk
