Volunteering worldwide

If you are interested in volunteering to support hospice and palliative care services worldwide, we can help you find appropriate volunteering opportunities. 115 countries now offer or are developing palliative care services, and the need for support is greatest in resource-limited countries.

Many experienced palliative care workers and other health professionals have built lasting links with hospice and palliative care services throughout the world by sharing their skills and experience.

Volunteer placements are usually for a minimum of six weeks or three months and would normally involve assisting with teaching or developing services.

Resources

We have an information pack with helpful ideas, contacts and publications aimed at palliative care professionals who wish to undertake an international volunteer placement.

Our International Skills Database which records details of palliative care services in resource-limited settings that are seeking help with teaching programmes, or with establishing a new service.

To express an interest in either of the services mentioned above, or would like to obtain a copy of our Developing International Links information pack, please contact us.
