Social Security benefits

If you need to help someone collect their pension or benefit, you can become their agent or appointee:

  • An agent is a person who is authorised to collect someone else's benefit or pension on their behalf.
  • An appointee deals with any aspect of a benefit or tax credit claim on someone's behalf on an ongoing basis.

Most pensions and benefits can be paid directly into a bank account.
