What we did together
Together, we aimed to raise £600,000 over the two-year partnership. However, we smashed our target after only one year and raised over £1 million for hospice care - a fantastic achievement!
What Argos staff have done
Each Argos store was twinned with its local hospice at the start of the partnership so that staff could fundraise for a local charity. This included Irish stores, which were twinned with their local hospices by the Irish Hospice Foundation.
Here is one reason that an Argos staff member gave for choosing to support hospices:
“Having known a few people recently who have had cancer, my dad included, the difference that a hospice makes to helping people live with cancer is fantastic. Their attitude and care makes the difference between living with cancer and dying with it.”
