£2 million raised
The banks’ employees have raised this tremendous amount – which includes a top up from the banks’ matched funding pot – through an array of fundraising activities, which have included midnight fun runs, marathons, quiz nights, abseils, and Santa dashes at Christmas. The fantastic efforts of the banks’ employees equate to raising an incredible £1,441 for each day of the partnership.
Employees have also been hands on with their local hospice and have volunteered a total of 12,000 hours of their time across the year, to help out with various tasks such garden makeovers, helping with hospice mail shots and marshalling at events such as the Edinburgh Marathon.
Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ network of more than 340 head offices, branches and business centres are twinned with local hospices in their area. This allows employees to get involved with fundraising and volunteering for hospices in their local communities as well as on a national level.
