We are extremely pleased to announce that the Francis Winham Foundation would like to fund a number of grants to English Adult Hospices that are members of Help the Hospices. This is a one-off grant round specifically for capital and/or equipment costs.

Being a small trust they have asked us to help with the process but the decision making will remain with them

We are seeking applications for special capital projects - this includes new builds, extensions, ward conversions, renovations and equipment. We are looking to make awards of between £20,000 and £50,000 each.

Please note: the Foundation has asked if we could prioritise applications from the ‘most needy’ hospices. Therefore, only hospices that show in their most recent audited accounts having free reserves of less than 9 months running costs will be eligible. For the purpose of this grants programme, free reserves are defined as unrestricted funds (including designated funds) less unrestricted fixed assets.
