The aim of the programme is to ‘kick start’ or pilot new initiatives to support people who provide unpaid care for terminally ill family or friends. We are looking to fund projects that address the challenges faced by carers of the terminally ill in a creative and innovative way.
Project grants are for a minimum of £1,500 and a maximum of £5,000. Grants are only available to independent voluntary hospices within the UK, and only one application will be considered from each hospice. The total budget for the 2007 Seedcorn Grants programme is £35,000, and we anticipate awarding approximately seven grants in this round.
