Volunteer Grants Programme

Volunteer Training and Development Grants - Bereavement Training For Individuals

We acknowledge the generous contribution made by HBOS, to support this grant programme.

The purpose of the HBOS Volunteer Training and Development Grants is to enhance the bereavement skills of the volunteer that are used in the course of his/her voluntary work at the hospice.
  • Grants are available for volunteers in all types of hospices throughout the UK.
  • Only applications that support bereavement training will be considered.
  • Evidence of the volunteer’s commitment to the hospice should be included on the application form
  • Grants are for a maximum of 75% of the course fees – up to £500 per year.
  • Courses with fees less than £50 are not eligible for funding
  • Employed staff must apply through Professional Development Grant Programme
