As part of the supermarket chain’s Charity of the Year partnership with Help the Hospices, which kicked off in April 2010, every Morrisons store has teamed up with their nearest hospice to raise money that will fund hospice services in the local community.
Getting the partnership off to a bright start, Morrisons stores took part in a range of fun and exciting yellow-themed fundraising activities as part of the ‘Go Yellow to Raise a Smile for Help the Hospices’ campaign.
From dressing in yellow for the launch, decorating themselves in sunflowers and even sitting in baths of custard, Morrisons colleagues have been pulling out all the stops and are now well on the way to reaching their target of raising £1 million for hospice care.
Help the Hospices has also been selling pin badges in store and is working with other suppliers to develop on-pack promotions.
Morrisons is the UK’s fourth largest food retailer, with more than 400 stores across the UK.
