Association of Bereavement Service Co-ordinators

This association aims to raise the profile of bereavement care and those who deliver it. It promotes training, development, information and guidance relating to good practice for members.

Bereavement Research Forum

The Bereavement Research Forum provides opportunities for the discussion, promotion and development of bereavement research. It:

  • provides a platform to encourage and facilitate future research into bereavement

  • explores research issues such as methodology and ethics

  • passes on bereavement research findings to a wide audience

  • promotes the application of research into policy and practice.

Bereavement Services Association

This association is a network for those who provide bereavement support services, primarily within the NHS.

Bereavement Advice Centre

This not-for-profit organisation gives practical information and advice on the many procedures that face people after the death of someone close to them.

Childhood Bereavement Network

The Childhood Bereavement Network is a resource for anyone coming into contact with bereaved children, their families and other caregivers. Its network of subscribers offers a range of information, guidance support services throughout the UK.

Cruse Bereavement Care and Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland

These bereavement charities provide services nationally and locally, including training, and contribute to bereavement care policy.

 

Bereaved people may approach Cruse at any time after a death. The service is free and confidential and is provided by trained volunteers and staff.
