Services for carers

The Carers Services Guide by Rose Heatley includes information about different types of services for carers, as well as practical tips on setting up a support service for carers of the terminally ill. The second edition of the guide was launched in November 2008.

The guide includes case studies of services that support carers of people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. Longer versions of the case studies are available to download using the links below:

If you would like to share information about how you have developed a service to support carers of people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses, please email caring@helpthehospices.org.uk

You can also view information about grants that Help the Hospices has awarded to develop carers' support services. Twenty-one funded projects presented posters at the Time to Care conference in November 2008. You can view the carers posters presentations.
