Eligibility criteria

Please read through the following criteria to check that your proposed project is eligible.

 

Eligibility criteria

Eligible individuals must be:

  • living and working in either India or Africa

  • doctors, nurses, social workers, administrative staff, chaplains, bereavement support workers, health care assistants, professionals from allied medical services or volunteers.


Eligible costs are:

  • conference fees

  • travel costs – can include costs to travel to UK and within UK for visits to palliative care providers

  • accommodation costs – for the duration of the conference this is covered but, you may need accommodation if you visit other palliative care providers in UK.


What is not eligible?

Applications which are:

  • to attend a course or conference other than a  hospice23 conference

  • from individuals working in the UK.


If you work in a hospice in the UK you may be eligible to apply for grants/bursaries from other organisations, such as the Help the Hospices professional development grant programme.


If you work in palliative care in the NHS or the independent sector in the UK you may be eligible for a hospice23 bursary award to attend a hospice23 conference or workshop. Email hospice23 for further details.
