Home Hospice Care

This grant programme is now closed.

Funded by the St. James’s Place Foundation, the Home Hospice Care grant programme aims to strengthen the provision of hospice care in people’s homes.

We are looking to fund projects run by adult and children’s hospices that strengthen support, advice or training to provide care at home, so allowing people to stay at home for longer.

Two types of grants are available:

  • pilot project grants
  • major grants.

Pilot project grants

Pilot project grants up to £15,000 are available to pilot a new initiative that has already been scoped out in a feasibility study and has been identified as potentially valuable, but which has not been tried at the hospice before.

Find out more about the pilot project grant programme and how to apply.

Major grants

Major grants up to £40,000 are available for projects to either address findings from a feasibility study/scoping exercise or for new larger stand-alone projects that demonstrate a clear evidence of need.

Find out more about the major grant programme and how to apply.

Deadlines

Deadline for applications was 22 February 2012. Applicants will be informed about whether they have been successful by the end of March 2012.

Further information

Applications for this programme can still be considered even if your hospice has received previous funding from St. James's Place Foundation.
