Towergate bursary - masters in hospice leadership

The Towergate bursary grant programme is solely to support attendance at the Masters in Hospice Leadership run by Lancaster University Management School.

The next round of bursaries is now open and will support people to attend the fifth cohort, which starts in October 2014.

The university has advised they still have a few places available.

You can apply for a Towergate bursary once you have a confirmed place on the course.

A brief overview of the course and study dates are on our website.

For full course details please see the Lancaster University website.

Who it is for?

The course is aimed at senior roles within hospice management and palliative care, from full and associate member hospices in the UK, who aspire to lead hospices and/or palliative care services.

This grant programme has been made possible by the support of the Towergate Charitable Foundation. The Towergate Charitable Foundation is a registered charity and has supported hospice care for many years and has a long term partnership with Help the Hospices through Towergate Insurance.

The Towergate Charitable Foundation has given over £2 million to hospice care since 2008.

The Towergate Charitable Foundation would like to emphasise that, due to the availability of this funding programme, they will not consider any direct applications from hospices or hospice-led projects based in the UK.
