International

Help the Hospices has an international programme that supports the development of hospice and palliative care worldwide, particularly in developing countries. We believe that everyone living with a life-limiting illness has the right to quality, affordable care.

The need

Around the world, it is estimated that 100 million people would benefit from hospice and palliative care, but only a fraction receive it.

What we do

We work with our partners to provide a global voice on international hospice and palliative care issues. We provide resources to develop the capacity of hospice and palliative care services at national and local levels.

We work in collaboration with our partners on the Worldwide Palliative Care Alliance, a global network of hospice and palliative care national and regional associations.

The International Palliative Care Reference group, a group of experts on hospice and palliative care worldwide, gives us advice on our international programme.
