We can help you by explaining:
What is the Global Fund?
The Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria was created to increase resources to fight three of the world's most devastating diseases, and to direct those resources to the areas of greatest need.
As of 23 June 2010, the Global Fund has awarded US$15.6 billion in 140 countries. The Global Fund is a performance-based funder which means that funding flows to projects that meet targets.
The Global Fund provides a great opportunity for hospice and palliative care services to receive funding for hospice and palliative care interventions related to AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, whether to fund local palliative care initiatives or national palliative care development.
This Toolkit has been created to support hospice and palliative care services access Global Fund funding.
Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCM) are national bodies which generally submit national proposals to the Global Fund. The contact details for individuals on each CCM are available on the Global Fund website.
Help the Hospices, funded by the Open Society Institute, has put together a toolkit to help hospice and palliative care services access Global Fund funding. The toolkit gives information about:
