Time to care: fresh approaches to supporting carers

This conference was chaired by Geraldine Burke, Director of Patient Services at St Luke’s Hospice in Harrow, and chair of the Help the Hospices Carers Steering Group.

 

Speakers included Alison Ryan, CEO at Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, and Professor Sheila Payne, Help the Hospices Chair of Hospice Studies at Lancaster University.

There were also presentations from hospices that received grants to develop support services for carers, as well as examples of partnership working at both a local and national level.
