Board development workshop

Help the Hospices has developed a workshop for hospice Boards which covers governance, individual roles and working with hospice staff.

The workshop is designed to give trustees and senior managers an opportunity to clarify and develop their understanding of:

  • the governance role of the Board
  • the trustees' individual roles, responsibilities and legal duties
  • relationships between the Board and the senior staff team, and how to manage them effectively
  • issues such as succession planning or structuring effective meetings.

The workshop will draw out an agenda of actions which will help the Board and trustees to become even more effective.

Planning the workshop

We can deliver a workshop to your Board at a time and venue to suit you. An experienced facilitator will consult with board members and senior staff in advance to make sure that the programme focuses on relevant issues.
