Carers Strategy

In February 2007 the Prime Minister announced he would be updating the National Strategy for Carers as part of the government's New Deal for Carers. During the rest of that year the government consulted with carers around the country, to inform the National Strategy for Carers. 

Help the Hospices has been working with the government and other stakeholder organisations to influence the content of the Strategy.

 

Timescales

Carers at the heart of 21st century families and communities: a caring system on your side, a life of your own was published in Summer 2008.
