The 'End of Life Care Strategy - promoting high quality care for all adults in England' was published in July 2008. The work has been led by the Department of Health’s national cancer director, Professor Mike Richards.
The Strategy provides guidance to commissioners and providers on how to improve end of life care at a local level.
What we are doing
We are working with government and our members as part of the
implementation of the Strategy, and are currently monitoring the development of the Department of Health's End of Life Care Implementation Advisory Board.
