Wales
We support the work of Independent Hospices Cymru, which exists to highlight the role that hospices play in the provision of palliative and end of life care to the people of Wales. Independent Hospices Cymru is working with others to ensure the effective implementation of this palliative care strategy.
Scotland
We aim to support hospices in Scotland and Living and Dying Well, the Scottish Government’s palliative and end of life care action plan, published in October 2008. We welcomed the central role in this strategy given to voluntary organisations.
We work with the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care, the national representative body for palliative care in Scotland.
Northern Ireland
We aim to support hospices in Northern Ireland to work with local partners to implement the agreed model of palliative care, making sure that the Northern Ireland Assembly make palliative care a priority.
Legislation
Help the Hospices monitors legislation that affects hospices and end of life care.
